The history of Damaceno & Antunes is deeply rooted in Portuguese textile tradition. Founded in 2002 by Jorge Antunes, the company was born from decades of experience in the upholstery fabric sector, with a clear vision: to offer quality solutions to industry professionals by combining technical knowledge with close attention to the product.
Initially known as “Jorge Antunes Tecidos de Decoração” since 1996, the company stood out for its personalized approach, strong commercial relationships, and commitment to excellence, gaining recognition at a national level.
The natural evolution of the project led to the current identity — Damaceno & Antunes. Today, the company continues to grow with passion, ambition, and innovation, keeping alive the spirit with which it all began. More than just a fabric company, we are a brand driven by heritage, technical expertise, and a forward-looking vision for Portuguese textile design.


With the arrival of the second generation, represented by Fábio Antunes and Diana Antunes, the company strengthened its entrepreneurial spirit and renewed itself with a modern and dynamic vision of the textile sector. The focus is on national and international expansion, process modernization, and the development of a diversified portfolio of brands, all aligned with the values of quality, innovation, and identity that define Damaceno & Antunes.
This combination of the founder’s solid experience and the energy of the new generations has enabled the company to consolidate its position as an undeniable reference in the Portuguese textile market, progressively expanding its presence internationally while maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence.

EvoFabrics was born in 2007 with a clear purpose: to establish itself in the high-end decoration segment and take Portuguese design beyond borders. The name “EVO” symbolizes the natural evolution of Damaceno & Antunes as a publisher and distributor of leading brands in the textile sector. After years of experience working with the best international houses and closely listening to the needs of Portuguese professionals, the ambition arose to create our own brand — a project that would reflect our creative vision, technical mastery, and an identity deeply rooted in national culture.
Since then, EvoFabrics has become synonymous with innovation and authenticity. Creating exclusive collections with a Portuguese signature has allowed us to stand out in the market and highlight national creativity. Each collection is conceived as a visual and sensory narrative, where raw materials, attention to detail, and originality come together in a product of excellence.


Today, we are recognized as a fabric publishing brand with unique designs, entirely developed by our team of Portuguese designers. EvoFabrics’ philosophy values the country’s heritage, culture, and traditions, reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective that brings sophistication and identity to each creation.
Our inspirations come from the richness of the territory and the diversity of its cities — such as the traditional Azulejo ceramics, the popular embroidery of the Lenço dos Namorados, the filigree of Portuguese goldsmithing, the urban palettes of Porto, the Baroque exuberance of Braga, and the symbolic heritage of Tomar. Each fabric expresses an authentic connection to Portuguese identity and is designed for projects that value elegance, creativity, and a strong sense of place.
